Yorkshire Moors & Coast Tourism Partnership
The Tourism Partnership for the Moors and Coast Area of North Yorkshire is a private and public sector consortium that seeks to support the growth of the tourism economy and maximise its benefits to businesses, residents, visitors and the environment.
The Partnership will have the central role of coordinating and improving the ways in which the area is promoted, visitors are managed and tourism businesses supported.
A Board comprising Local Authority elected members and local tourism business people, representing the Tourism Associations in the area, manages the work of the Partnership.
Participating Local Authorities are:
- Hambleton District Council
- North York Moors National Park Authority
- Ryedale District Council
- Scarborough Borough Council
- North Yorkshire County Council
The Moors and Coast assets
The diverse culture and heritage of the Moors and Coast is what makes it a special place and a great attraction for visitors.
The Moors and Coast has a natural and built heritage that is well preserved and maintained and gives the area its unique character and strong sense of place. The area provides a variety of landscapes, attractions, events, towns and communities that give considerable strength and depth to the tourism product.
The Moors and Coast of North Yorkshire have a vibrant and contemporary cultural life that reflects the creativity of the people of the area and the cultural heritage that is theirs.
